First off, thank you for visiting this WordPress Video Tutorial featuring our Link Categories video. This tutorial will cover WordPress Link Categories, how to use them, what they are and more! Check it out:
What is a WordPress Link Category?
Links in WordPress are filed under one or more Link Categories. This is especially beneficial when the site you are working on has dozens of links you want to share. A link category can help you organize links into, well, categories. We use link categories in WordPress to divide up internal links, links within our network and links related to WordPress, Programming, HTML, CSS and others. But you can categorize your links anyway you see fit!

Why do I need link categories?
Like I said earlier, link categories help you organize different links. Also, you can display certain links on certain pages / posts when you know which category(s) they were organized in.
Lets say, for instance, you are writing a post about Web Design. Before you wrote the post, you gathered some useful Web Design resource links and put them into a “Web Design Resources” category of links. Now you want to display this category of links in the post you are writing, well now you can do that by displaying that category of links only.
